Region
The Dayton region has a public airport to suit every type of flying, from Dayton International Airport to small grass airstrips. Air-carrier and general aviation airports offer close access to many aviation destinations, from aviation heritage sites to aerospace research laboratories and aviation-related businesses. In addition to its 24 public-use airports, the Dayton region boasts a major Air Force base and an uncounted number of private-use airfields.
