Radio control model aircraft clubs

RC pilots fly their planes at the 2009 Giant Scale RC Air Show.

More than a dozen radio control model aircraft clubs are active across the Dayton region. Enthusiasts fly radio-controlled warbirds, jets, helicopters, sport planes – even gliders.

Some RC clubs operate their own flying fields with runways and viewing stands. One of the largest radio-control air shows in the United States takes place every year at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
