region
Aviation events in the
Dayton region run the gamut, from pancake breakfast fly-ins
to air shows, aviation expos and more.
The biggest outdoor aviation event is the
Vectren Dayton Air
Show presented
by Kroger, highly regarded in the aviation industry as
one of North America's premiere air shows. The U.S. Air
Force Thunderbirds or the U.S. Navy Blue Angels are
typically the headline act. The show also features
military aircraft demonstrations and the top civilian
performers, such as National Aviation
Hall of Fame enshrinees Sean D. Tucker and Patty
Wagstaff.
The National Aviation Hall of Fame's annual
enshrinement
banquet is
another natiionally known event that honors America's
air and space pioneers. The hall of fame also has a
learning center co-located with the National Museum of
the United States Air Force.
