The 15th
Annual Giant Scale Radio-Control Air Show will put R/C
airplanes and R/C aircraft of all kinds into the air behind
the National Museum of the United States Air Force,
including R/C jets, R/C warbirds and R/C helicopters .
Friday through Sunday, Sept. 3-5, for the 15th Annual Giant
Scale Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft Air Show. The popular
event typically draws more than 100 pilots who fly
radio-control airplanes and helicopters representing all
eras of aviation history.
Sponsored by the Dayton Ohio Giant Scalers (DOGS), the
Labor Day weekend event is scheduled each day from 8:30
a.m. to 5 p.m. The pilots perform a half-time show from 11
a.m. to 1 p.m. daily
The event is open to the public, and admission and parking are free. Food and merchandise are to be available for purchase.
The National Museum of the United States Air Force is located on Springfield Street, six miles northeast of downtown Dayton. It is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day). Admission and parking are free.
