Demoiselle replica flies in Dayton – 2006

Dayton, Ohio – A Brazilian air force C-130 transport plane stopped at Dayton International Airport today to drop off a rare replica of the Demoiselle – a 1907 airplane designed by Brazilian air pioneer Alberto Santos Dumont. Fernando de Arruda Botelho, a Brazilian industrialist and aviation history enthusiast, is loaning the airplane for display in the Champaign Aviation Museum in Urbana. Full story
